Let's make Jesus our pal.
Why not put Him in a secondary position in a "trinity".
Better yet, why don't we just pick and choose what we accept of His word.
We know He was sacrified because He was seeking us, He needed us. We must be important. We could very well be more important than Him.
Let's get something straight - the God of the Universe robed Himself in flesh so He could reconcile mankind unto Himself. He raised Himself out of His holy habitation because there was no other way and mankind now tries to give Him a "Yo, bro'".
Our approach to His holiness does make a difference. Yes, we need to be intimate with Him but we need to maintain respect.
I think the insidious message of the trinity gave mankind permission to invent ways to dumb down the message.
Personally, I prefer the Truth more than I love mother, father, sister, brother. Speaking the Truth with the mouth I own has gotten me into more trouble than I can relate in a blog.
Do you think if we got a clear vision of what eternal separation from Him would be like we would start warning people?
BUT if we dumb down the message enough, maybe we can envision a loving God Who will let everyone in His presence and we won't have to strain ourselves to reach anyone.
What are we going to do? Let 'em all go to hell or show and teach them a relationship they can respect?
I pray this generation will get a grip and hold fast before the stunning begins.
