Firefighting & a Bit of Bragging

This is my fire fighting daughter, Emily. She just passed the test for certification to fight wildfire.

Her father and I are so proud of her for this accomplishment. Yup, yes we are! It is something she worked for and conquered.

What milestones have I accomplished that could compare - not that I would compare myself to Emily.

I appreciate the gift of her more every day. She entered our lives by surprise - a mere 5 pounds 14 ounces. No one could have raised her without loving her and appreciating her strengths. She was jam-packed full of determination.

I see that she continues to be loved which makes living far away from her okay.
