I Did It

Well, I did it, folks! Got me a Nintendo DS Lite.

I have been wanting one ever since I seriously started losing my mind. You laugh - but the other day I was writing something longhand and tried to remember how to spell the word "maintain" without Spellcheck. I couldn't coax the spelling to place I could use it even after making myself relax.

So, I also got the game Brain Age, to start exercising my brain. I really wanted Brain Age 2 because it got better reviews but Brain Age takes an assessment of how old your brain has become. Then you can mark your progress as you work your way younger. You can tell I have done my research.

The young man who helped me find the system didn't think it was strange that I was buying it; he commented that recent research found that the average age of gamers is now 32. It was then that he really looked at me and I at him. I don't know if he was complimenting me or he hadn't really noticed how old I was.

If he could have taken a CAT scan of my brain he would have seen I was close to 102!
