I am so thankful our omniscient Lord is seated on the throne of heaven. He is capable of sorting through the muck we live in. He provides resources and strength to make something good out of our lives so we can go out into the world and maintain our balance.
I have a friend who when she was three years old was separated from two older siblings. Her mother took the younger two and her father kept the older two. She tells me she found her brother last weekend. She hasn't seen him for almost a half a century. What broke my heart was when they parted, it was like they were children all over again. She turned to look at him and he turned to look at her.
There are people trying to break generational curses while experiencing the blessings of salvation. The reality is there are gaps, hiccups, inconsistancies they must deal with which are huge.
I can't imagine being three, four, five years old and no one ever talking about my older brother and sister anymore. What do you do with that information? This girlfriend legally has her father's name but her mother re-married and informally gave her the new husband's name. She has struggled her whole life to figure out who she is. Three years old is old enough to know your real name.
Sort it out, Lord.
