Primary Election Day

My first time voting was the presidential election of 1976. I voted wrong. I voted against my conscience and voted for my parents' party.

The second time was primary election day in May of 1976. I didn't get to vote that day because I was giving birth. The contractions started in the middle of the night or I would have stopped by the polls on my way to the hospital. My daughter was born at noon.

This is the first time my oldest grand daughter gets to vote. I hope she makes a big deal of it.

It is very important to vote in the primaries. It is not just practice for the "big one".

Get out and vote!
